Element: Activate personal digital device and access features
  • Activate personal digital device, and access or log on according to user procedures
  • Identify basic functions and features using system information
  • Customise desktop or application configuration, if necessary, with assistance from appropriate persons
  • Access help functions as required
       
Element: Navigate and organise file or application environment
  • Open, close and access features by selecting correct desktop or menu icons
  • Create shortcuts onto the desktop or menu, if necessary, with assistance from appropriate persons
  • Create folders/subfolders of files or applications (or similar) with suitable names for personal device
  • Download new applications (or similar), with assistance from appropriate persons
  • Rename and move folders/subfolders of files or applications (or similar) with suitable names
  • Use search functions to locate files or applications (or similar)
  • Remove files or applications (or similar) as required, with assistance from appropriate persons

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.
